Maurten Gel Mix 480 is a high-carbohydrate hydrogel fuel designed for long-distance training and racing. Each sachet provides 120g of carbohydrates when mixed with 200ml of water, giving endurance athletes greater control over how they fuel extended efforts.

The prepared mixture has a unique consistency—thicker than a drink mix but looser than a traditional energy gel—so it can be consumed gradually from a soft flask. Maurten’s Hydrogel Technology forms a gel in the acidic environment of the stomach, helping transport carbohydrates through the stomach for absorption.

Gel Mix 480 has a neutral taste with no added flavours, colours or preservatives. It can also be combined with Maurten Additions to customise the flavour.

How to prepare:

Add one sachet to 200ml of water in a suitable soft flask. Shake vigorously until completely dissolved, then allow the mixture to rest for five minutes before consuming. The Maurten Gel Mix Flask 350ml is recommended.

Once prepared, the mixture can be refrigerated for up to 72 hours. Always test your nutrition strategy during training before using it on race day.
