The New Balance FuelCell 5280 is a road racing shoe that Runner's World describes as “a track spike without the pins.” It’s engineered for runners aiming to break the 5:30 mile barrier.
Featuring New Balance's FuelCell midsole technology, it delivers lightweight cushioning and exceptional energy return with each step. The carbon fiber plate is strategically placed to maximize power and improve running form. Version 2 has an updated upper, designed for a snug fit, with zonal support for stability and just the right amount of stretch for added comfort.
